This was so much fun! It was a gift for my Marine son who went on a cruise to Alaska and took a class on how to fold towels into animals. He was so clever at that that we got him a book on towel folding and then just happened to find this. It got lots of laughs and was food for thought for many jokes and laughs in the future. How funny it will be to leave a party and have the hostess go in and find a rose on the toilet paper roll!

A neighbor shared this book with me. I made several of the easy patterns and fell in love with it. We gave it as a Christmas present to several friends and relatives and they were delighted with it. The directions are easy to follow. This would be a great project book for kids for cheap mother’s day presents. I loved it!

I got this for Christmas one year when I was in elementary school and was instantly fascinated by it. I still pull it off the shelf every now and then (I just graduated college) when I want to make a dollar-bill elephant. This book is a LOT of fun for kids and parents alike. It’s something parents can give to their kids to provide them with a fun activity that’s creative and useful–you’d be surprised how much a waiter appreciates a crummy tip when it’s folded up into the shape of a frog that leaps. A co-worker of mine just got it for her kids who are 10, 11 and 12 years old, and they love it too. Definitely fun for all ages. Very well-written (funny and witty) with clear directions. I highly recommend it!!

Great Book for Beginners, March 10, 2006

This was my first money folding book and I really liked it. I actually had bought it for a friend’s daughter for her birthday. She and I sat down one day and folded many of the diagrams. I have since bought this book for several other people and always recommend it to beginners.

PROs:
o Designs are well diagrammed – easy to follow and instructions are very clear (this is unusual for many origami books that leave you guessing). I’ve seen diagrams for some of these models elsewhere – but this book is worth buying just for the quality of the diagrams. Saves on much frustration! You don’t need to know anything about origami to be able to follow this book.
o I REALLY liked most of the designs – many books have a few cool designs and others that are unrecognizable or just kind of eh – The designs in this book are remarkable good.
o Nice spiral bound book – this is a great feature when trying to read and fold.
o Includes interesting factoids about money! Educational as well as fun!

CONS:
o Not alot of diagrams.

GENERAL IMPRESSION:
This book is great for beginners. Diagrams are clear and not full of origami jargon. Models are interesting and fun. I have been folding money for years now — and it all started with this book. Anyone who asks me for a recommendation – this book is the first on my list.

Easy To Follow, December 31, 2010

I brought this DVD with me recently on a trip to fold some money I was planning to give as gifts to my niece and nephew. The video instructions are easy to follow, although I fold my money origami a bit slower than Lisa, so I used the pause button while I make my folds. I was able to easily fold a money duck and a money heart without any problems whatsoever. I didn’t find that the upside down folding of the origami was a problem at all as one reviewer mentioned it was a problem for them.

I found this DVD helpful to watch for creating my quick little gifts.

Not for a beginner!

This video is for people who already know how to do Origami, but just want a few new patterns. Very hard to follow since you are looking at the folder from across the table. So it is upside down. Some of the directions are hard to follow, since you can’t see what the folder is doing.

Paper Boats that actually sink, May 20, 2002

At first i give a starting level to this book of 3 stars, following to the book, i have encountered some several advantages and disadvantages.
Advantage : Good Quality diagrams (+1 Star)
